Poem

She had always been instructed to be
Gracious and kind.
To act like that of a porcelain doll;
Speaking only when spoken to,
Moving only when asked to,
And smiling even when no one was looking.
She was beautiful and treasured,
But never meant to be touched or loved,
For how can one love an inanimate object.
