Jinghan: Yup, parents can be like that sometimes.. but usually, they're kinda nice to us, isnt it? They buy us stuff.. but even so, they are not totally good! But at least they get us what we want most of the time. Life's unfair. Thats reality for you. You gotta make the best out of everything.

Ok, so, went out with Sele today, no MS cos she just recovered from food poisoning. At first, we were at PS, and there the 77th street have a nice bag that we like, you could just imagine our delight lor, especially mine, cos finally I can use the voucher, but then, after walking around Orchard to see if got any nice ones, at the same time looking at boards and shirts, but have no chance of buying cos no money, we headed to Far East to buy that bag, but then, we found out that the bag strap is extremely short! It was so disappointing. And then when we carry that time, look like little kids, according to Sele. My mother and sister was at CK Tang, so we went there, and Sele wanted to see if have Billabong, and she got Tangs voucher, so we went to look for Billabong there, but dont have lor. Then went back to Taka, saw the Billabong bags at Commode, then bought one type, its quite nice. I bought same as Sele but diff colour. Sele bought brown, mine is white, in case you were wondering. She took a long time to decide, had to call a lot of people (everyone said brown) before she decided which one to buy. Then she called her mother and her mother said brown and then she bought it. I was still deciding lor, cos I didnt have money, and then my mother came, just nice Sele just gone, and then she bought for me the white bag, so surprising, cos my mother told me to use my own money to buy bag, as I just bought the adidas bag. Still, yeah, she bought it for me. Then went to Crystal Jade for dinner. Then went back, cos late already, before going back we went to the fish shop, cos that sister of mine wanted to buy guppies! And she wanted two male two female! It'll have kids for goodness sake! But then, in the end still bought to two male two female. Sele and I went to Sony Gallery to see the laptops and such. So nice! The vaio laptop is WHITE. And I was talking about white laptops to Sele on the MRT! So cool. I want it!! Lol. Saw Rebekah at still so short. Haha. Then went home lor. Lol. Thats my day. Oh yes, Sele and Far East. So long never see her le, she still as short! Haha. Plus Sele and I were talking about our future house. Its gonna be black, white, and purple!!
Currently waiting for Lost to finish, the stupid episode four. So slow!

Jagged Amber finally updated! After like, how long!? And its finally finished. A complete story. Finally. The usual ending, S and S. Durh!
1.5 more hours to Hell. At 2.30pm, I would be stuck in this very room, listening to a stupid teacher talk about stupid things, going crazy doing maths sums and drawing graphs, which I can hardly remember already. All the school things, cept without friends. That Sucks. Sucks sucks sucks. URGH. Stupid tuition.
How come.. everytime I say I'm not hungry.. my grandmother would think I'm on a freaking diet!! Thats stupid. Why would I be on a diet!? I rather enjoy life than starve myself! Sheeeshh!!
Ok, I got nothing to say already. Oh yes, about KL that thing, its obvious that I had a lot of fun. Theres no need to elaborate on it. Its just a lot of fun. And the funny thing is that, the last game we played at the theme park is the same as the last time, bumper cars. Oh yes, and theres this girl, who was, unfortunately, sitting in front of us, on the little train for kiddos, and she was wearing a super duper short skirt, and she lifted her leg, to put lotion! And guess what, it was so short that.. yeah. I bet my brother and cousin were staring. Lol. SO young and do this type of things le, tsk, tsk.. The first thing I did? Covered my sister's eyes. Haha.

Hell no!

Tuition tmr's going to be hell. Urgh, how much I hate tuition. Maybe its the teacher problem. Who knows. I dont care. Just dont like it at all!!
Maybe going out with Sele and maybe anyone else who wanna go on Friday. She wants a bag. I gave up on bags le. Its hopeless. None of them are nice. Wallets? The nice ones are expensive.. The cheaper ones are not nice. Its extremely hopeless. Sigh. So, maybe just go and help Sele look around lor.
School is starting a week later. So miserably stupid. Life is going to get boring once again. I somewhat prefer the computer-noschool days to the extremely boring lessons where the teachers just drone on and on and on. Neverending. And the classroom. One little enclosed area with windows not big enough to stick your head out. Simply jail-ish. They might as well lock us inside with a recording of their lessons and play it while the teachers sit around in the staff lounge shaking their legs. It would be no different. Sigh. Seven more days. Seven more days to enjoy. Not with tuition. Tuition shouldnt even BE part of the holidays. Its just spoils the meaning of holiday. Its outrageous. Sickening, unheard of! Thats reality for you. Esp living in THIS world.

OMNI THEATRE IS VERY COOL! Those who didnt go really missed a lot! And not just because I simply love Harry Potter. I mean it!
Thanks Sele and MS for your presents!! Its soo cute!! The polar bear was sooo cute too! My brother wanted it, so he offered me money, but too bad!! Didnt give in to the deal! Bwahaha! Cos its sooo cute!
Well, I walked around with Sele and MS today. Fun. Looking mostly at handphones. Haha. Thinking of buying Panasonic.. but its the camera problem. Not 2.0 megapixel. Oh yes, speaking of cameras, my camera got problem. The shutter cant close when off. Oh no.. die. Scared the thing scratch. Nvm, wait till my parents use, then after they use, then say its their fault that the thing spoil. Lol! I'm so evil. Other than handphones, also went to the 77th street in Far East AND P.S. to see if got stuff to spend the voucher on, seems like got nothing. No bag, no wallet nice. The wallet got one I like, buts its not in 77th Street. No fair. Hai. And its expensive!! 32 bucks. I got no money. x( So sad. And Sele.. everytime got pink I would point out to her. Haha! Its just that everytime I see pink it reminds me of her, and MS. Yeah..

Oh ya, CS should have gone since he liked Michelle Chong so much. She was just sitting opposite us at Sakae lor. And he wanted her autograph. Too bad! Who ask him dont wanna go! Bwahaha.

Stubbornness

So my determination ( or is it stubbornness) to go to Malaysia paid off. I'm finally going!! It started yesterday night.. when me and Sele realised that no one wanted to bring us to Malaysia cos of being dangerous or something. What nonsense! Well, anyway, when I was losing all hope, my uncle came into the room and told us that they were going to Malaysia! You can just imagine my excitement. So, I told my cousin that I wanted to go with them, cos my mother didnt want to go, cos of my sister. And so today, my mother talked to my auntie about it, and miracles of miracles, she decided to go! Whooohooo! Now I got money to spend and siblings to annoy! Lol, kidding. Being with my cousins and without my parents is as good. I can buy ANYTHING I want without them breathing down my neck about every single thing. Haha. But the sad thing is that Sele cant come with me! Oh well, one cant have everything in the world... Sigh.
Tmr is Omni Theatre! Finally. No guys going, only me, Sele, MS and Nicole. After that we going to buy bag, and wallet. IF we have enough money. Haha.. I hope we do. Well, waiting for my mother to come back, then I can continue watching the show "Unstuck in Time". Its nice.

Concert!!

5566 concert rocked!!
I now know why Tiff said the concert was high, cos the person in front stood up, and then everyone else must stand up cos they cannot see. Lol!! Thats true. Pau was so short, she had to keep jumping. But all in all, quite nice. The person beside me arh, wlau, dont know why, the whole concert she stunk of DURIAN. And I absolutely HATE durian!! Zax was very funny. Haha. The rest too. Doabala sive doubala siss. Lol!

My parents are now asking about what movie to watch. They talked abt The Promise. And my mother said if dont wanna watch plot, then its nice. Dots!?!? Who dont wanna watch plot!? And to 'leave your expectations at your doorstep'. Haha!! No nice shows now, maybe Pride and Prejudice, but that is not the kind of show that my family like. Hai. Wonder whose genes I got THAT from.... Oh well.

We're trying to get someone to bring us to Malaysia. My mother didnt want to, cos have XiaoQi (her again!?!?!). Sele asking her mother, father, or auntie. Lol. We aint taking any chances. My dad cant cos he got to work. Not free, he says. Sigh. I really really want to go. Really.

Its the 16th! Finally. Cheryl's going to Genting, MS's coming back, and its my BIRHTDAYY!! Even though I had already celebrated with my relatives, oh well, friends is a different story. x)

I woke up rather early today. So wierd. I was already half-awake at the break of dawn.
Anyway. A new skin, as you can see. Took long time to decide on the stuff. More than usual. And made that monkey of my brother mad by saying that I havent finished yet and finish it first before letting him play. Which, I actually managed. At 8.30pm! Lol. Ate Macs yesterday, called them, cos my mother didnt cook.
Rainbow Connection was interesting! At least JianYi and YoYo finally got together. Yay! Sele and I felt a little pity for XiaoQian. David was actually being cheeky, like that time in the studio with Michelle, the melted snow that part. Haha. Seeing Genting made me want to go there, my sister starting shouting that she wanted to go Genting. Haha. We could go, without my dad, cos he is busy, but my mother wouldnt want to. Sigh.
My brother ACTUALLY wants a blog!? Incredible! I was telling him about it last night, html stuff. But I dont think he actually understands what I was saying, haha!

King Kong.

King Kong is a nice show. Long, a little sad, a little scary. Nice. And the girl, Ann Darrow, played by Naomi Watts, is freaking sway. When she try to get away from the T-Rex, behind her is another one. When she try to get away from it, theres another. Lol. Yea. Nice. 3hrs. Exactly. I'd recommend it. x)
Just made a new specs. Seemed that my degree dropped. Left eye. Right eye still the same. So long le. Like.. 3 to 4 years? Still same degree.
Working on a new skin now. Feel sian with my this one. Haha.

Ok, never update for.. three days?

Monday
PS at 11 before meeting the rest ( CS, Ronald, Nicole, Imee, Nicholas) at Joo Chiat CC for badminton. I was with Jasmine and Sele. I left the house at 10.25 and yet I was EARLY by a minute. And guess what, they were LATE. And when I say late, I mean like 40 minutes late. So, I was there, waiting like an idiot for them. And I HATE WAITING. When they finally arrived, there was I, in a bad mood. Then walked to Yamaha, only to find that it was closed. Headed towards Macs, which was hard to find. But we managed. Ok, so we ate there. Talked abt stuff that doesnt really matter, and then went back to check if Yamaha is open. It was open, then we went in, only to find that the cheapest flute is 1000+ and the most expensive one is 6000+. So disappointing. So I said the only thing that makes sense: "We'd better stick to the recorder." Then cos we still got time, we went to Times. I ended up reading the W.I.T.C.H. Special Issue right there and then instead of buying it, and then Jasmine was reading the Desperate Housewives book. Sele just wandered around. They spotted a stuff toy, like a polar bear, and wanted to buy. After that then meet the rest for badminton. CS said that if I beat him I would get a Starbucks drink. Ok, so played, and then they played while, me, Sele and Imee took frequent rests. The last match was the one between CS and I. He wanted doubles so, me and Nicole against he and Ronald. Obviously, we won. So now he owes TWO of us drinks. Lol. Then me, Jasmine and Sele walked to PP. Macs first, cos Sele had to buy shaker fries for her bro, and then 77th Street to see bags, cos have voucher. Nothing nice. Then.. went home. Lol.

Yesterday
It was like a stay-at-home day. From 11am to 4.30pm, I sat downstairs, beside the electric wires and stuffs, playing the Game Boy. I'm a kid at heart! x) Ok, then, at night went to play tennis. My arm ached from badminton, so didnt play much, mostly my father and my brother.
And I didnt on my phone for the ENTIRE day. Haha.

Ok, nothing much to say about today la. And I love archery! Played it on Sunday. Can you imagine!? Archery on Sunday, Badminton on Monday, and Tennis and Tuesday. Its NO WONDER my hand ached!!

"The Thinking Cap"

Polite applause filled the Great Hall as the battered Sorting Hat bowed to all four tables, then sat still and silent in anticipation of the first student to be called forth for the Sorting. Professor McGonagall consulted a scroll of parchment, then called out, "Abbot, Hannah!"
A pixie-ish girl with fat blonde pigtails approached the Hat with mingled awe and excitement, pulling it on her head anxiously. While the whole Hall watched, she heard a gravelly voice in her ear. "Ah, the first student of a new year! Now where shall I put you? Hmm...such loyalty! Lovely to see. You're surely a HUFFLEPUFF!"
It shouted the last word to the entire Hall and the table on the far right burst into wild applause. Hannah's grinning face could again be seen as she removed the Hat and trotted off to join her new Housemates.
The same scene was played out every years, as the first years were Sorted into their Houses for their time at Hogwarts. No one ever really talked about the little voice some heard when they tried on the Hat, though some who doubted their placement took comfort in the Hat's comments.
What no one ever heard, however, were the four *other* voices arguing inside the Hat, before the first voice said a word...
"Oh, a new batch of students! I've been looking forward to this. It DOES seem that the crop of students has been a bit light lately."
"These things go in cycles, Rowena. I'm sure we'll have a good set."
"You're just happy because the first one was one of *yours*, Helga."
"And isn't that a good enough reason?" the second voice said cheerfully. It was a very nice sort of voice, bright and chipper, bringing to mind mischievous children and mothers who refused to actually grow up. It was a decided contrast to the coolly aristocratic tones of the first voice, though both were definitely female.
A third voice joined in the mix, male and brash and boisterous. "Of course it's a good reason, Helga. Now let's concentrate on this next one, hmm?"
"Yes, Godric," both women giggled in chorus, sounding for a moment like schoolgirls themselves, as the Hat they were housed in was placed on a new head, young "Bones, Susan".
A fourth voice joined in now, low and with a slight hint of hissing on the sibilants. "Sshe has ambition, but is as cunning as a rabbit," he said dismissively.
"So positive, as always, Salazar," Rowena said reprovingly, then began her own examination. "Hmm...well, not a bad mind, but NO desire to apply it."
"Oh! She has BADGERS!" Helga exclaimed, with the impression of hands clapping together excitedly. "Oh, I want her!"
"Is that all you care about?" Rowena asked in disbelief.
"Of course not. Look at how hard-working she is. She'd be a *credit* to my House. But she ALSO has *badgers*! She's perfect. Godric?"
Godric's voice had a definite grin in it as he replied, "She has no extraordinary bravery or daring. Go ahead and take her."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Oooh, I *like* this one," Rowena cooed approvingly as they looked into the mind of Boots, Terry. "What a bright boy. Such a fine mind. And all he wants to do in life is create new spells!"
"Rowena's in love," Godric laughed.
"One moment," Salazar put in. "That *ambition* to create new spells is certainly a fine one..."
"Oh, you can't -- he's so -- you *wouldn't*, Salazar!"
Salazar laughed. "Just teasing you, Rowena. He's yours."
"Oh YOU!"
"RAVENCLAW!"
"Why do they always do this so quickly?" Helga complained. "It's just rush, rush, rush, one student then another! They should enjoy this."
"Remember how excited the new students always were? They just want to know which of our glorious Houses they'll be placed in," Godric assured her. "They still appreciate us. Speaking of which, I think I want this one. Absolutely fearless!"
"Muggle-born," Salazar sniffed at Mandy Brocklehurst. "Yes, you can have her."
"You really need to work on these prejudices, Salazar dear," Helga chided gently. "Muggle-born students can be just as powerful as wizard-born."
"They're *my* prejudices, I've had them for a thousand years now, and I'm quite happy with them!" he snapped in reply. "Besides, I tried a halfblood fifty years ago, and look how THAT turned out!"
"Right, then, so we're agreed?" Godric interrupted briskly. "She's mine."
"Not so fast! We're being just as bad at rushing as they are," Rowena said with a haughty sniff. "We need to take our time and make certain that we Sort these children correctly. Their House can have a significant impact on their development as a witch or wizard."
"And you want this one," Salazar finished for her.
"I'm just saying that we should be sure!"
"And you want her," Salazar and Helga chorused together.
"Well...just because I think she'd be a better fit in my house than *Godric's*...I mean, honestly, Godric, there IS more to life than rushing blindly into things. Mature deliberation and reasoning will always see you through in the end."
"Which would be why you barricaded yourself in the library for a full year to figure out how to deal with that upstart wizard in the next town?"
"I found the solution in the end, didn't I?"
"AFTER I'd already dealt with him!"
"You accidentally knocked him off a cliff!"
"It *worked*, didn't it?"
Helga sighed. "They get into this every time they want the same student."
"You'd think they'd have worked this out by now," Salazar agreed. "Although it does get amusing when he picks up new slang from the students," he added thoughtfully as Godric shouted that Rowena was a pompous nimrod.
Helga giggled softly, then cleared her throat. "Ahem. I think Mandy's wondering if she's going to get Sorted."
Godric and Rowena kept shouting at each other, paying their fellow Founder no heed.
Helga shook her head. "Stiff-necked and stubborn, the both of you. "**QUIET!!**"
All other noise in the Hat abruptly ceased. "Now then," Helga continued primly, "if the two of you have finished shouting at each other, I believe we have a Sorting to attend to. Godric, Rowena, why don't you see what the *girl* wants?"
Moments later, the Hat was shouting out, "RAVENCLAW!", Rowena was gloating, Godric was sulking, and Lavender Brown was rushing forward to try on the Hat nervously.
The four Founders had worked together for a number of years even before being enshrined in the Hat, choosing their students according to their talents and temperaments. It had actually gotten easier since Godric's spell, since they now possessed the ability to look straight into the heads of the new students. They'd gotten their work down to nearly a science, able to Sort students far faster than they used to.
In the old days, a Sorting could take hours as they painstakingly sifted through each student's mind to identify the precise mix of intelligence, diligence, bravery, and ambition they possessed, and where those talents would be best used. Now some students took a bare heartbeat, their proper place instantly apparent.
Others, though, still took some careful thought...and argument.
"Why should *I* be the one to back down? 'Sweet Helga', 'dear Helga', 'kind Helga'! You mean PUSHOVER Helga! I'm not about to turn away someone so loyal to his friends just because YOU see bravery in him too!"
"Now, Helga, calm down," Godric said placatingly. "Think about what would be best for the boy."

"I'm claiming the next one you want, you know, Godric," Helga promised darkly as the Hat was placed on the next head.
"You're supposed to be the cheerful one, Helga," he chided gently. "Let's have a look at this one now."
"I'm sick of being cheerful." Helga's mutterings trailed off as she looked into the newest student's head. "Hmm...well, *she's* certainly no stranger to hard work, is she? I like her already."
"She *memorized* her *textbooks*!" Rowena was nearly swooning in rapture. Well, she'd be swooning if she still had a body. "Just LOOK at that thirst for knowledge. She's *perfect*."
Salazar poked around a bit himself, musing aloud, "She's certainly one for ambition. Such a drive to be the best! A little too rules-bound, but she could overcome that with the proper stimulus...Oh." He sounded suddenly disappointed. "Muggle-born."
"You lose out on the best ones that way, Salazar."
"No lectures please, Godric."
"Who's lecturing? I want her in Gryffindor. One less arguer is fine by me."
"And there he goes again," Helga muttered. "I swear, he waits until he knows WE want them to speak up!"
"That's not my only reason!"
"So you admit it's A reason?" Rowena spoke up sharply.
"...Well, after a thousand years, you need to take your fun where you can..."
"GODRIC!" two female voices shrieked in unison.
"Sorry! Look, all that aside, this Hermione is perfect Gryffindor material. If she goes into Ravenclaw, she's NEVER take her nose out of a book. It's a waste of all her other talents!"
"Oh, so she should go into Gryffindor so she can learn how to charge blindly into danger?"
"Taking a few risks is a GOOD thing!"
"Might I suggest," Salazar put in smoothly after the others argued for a while, "you see if the girl has any opinions on the matter? Not that I expect her to know anything useful, coming from Muggles, but--"
"An excellent idea!" Rowena bubbled immediately. "One so fond of learning will CERTAINLY choose Ravenclaw."
"She knows the value of hard work," Helga said confidently. "She'll be *thrilled* to be a Hufflepuff."
"She has a stubborn streak," Godric predicted. "There are more important things than books and cleverness."
\\I hope I'm in Gryffindor; it sounds by far the best...I suppose Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad...//
"NOT TOO BAD?!" Rowena shrieked. "You little INGRATE!"
"At least she MENTIONED your House," Helga huffed. "What's wrong with hard work? Honestly, it may not be the most glorious, but..."
"Told you," Godric said smugly, as the Hat shouted out, "GRYFFINDOR!"
Rowena was still pouting by the time the Hat came to rest on the head of Neville Longbottom. Occasional mutters of, "Well I never!", "Use MY House as a second choice, will you?", and "Research and planning, that's the key!" came from her corner of the Hat, but the other Founders politely ignored her.
"Right, then. I don't think there's much question about this one," Godric said briskly, looking into the mind with satisfaction. "He's one of mine."
"A bit less confident than your usual," Salazar drawled, poking around a bit. "Isn't foolhardy confidence one of your traits?"
"You're just bitter, Salazar. Look at that family. His grandmother scares ME! But he faces them." Godric's voice rang with pride. "All set, then."
"...Not quite," Salazar said slowly, his voice full of disbelief. "Is he *arguing* with us?"
\\I don't deserve to be a Gryffindor. I should just be a Hufflepuff!//
"Helga, you can't kill me. I'm just a disembodied mind," Godric said swiftly. "It's not my fault, honestly!"
"WHY is it," Helga asked in a low and deadly voice, "that everyone seems to have gotten the idea that MY House -- my loyal, hard-working students -- is full of 'duffers', I believe that one boy put it? HONESTLY! Oh, be quiet and stop arguing, boy. You *clearly* don't deserve to be in MY House."
"He's arguing with the Sorting Hat. The Hat that was created by the Founders themselves." Salazar sounded incredibly amused. "Oh yes, he definitely belongs in Godric's house of idio--er, bravery." A mostly-stifled snicker. "Absolutely."
"Oh shut up, snake boy."
"GRYFFINDOR!"
"...Dear, you might want to take the Hat OFF now," Rowena suggested gently. "Honestly. This is why he clearly isn't a Ravenclaw."
Helga quickly claimed the next student as her own. Godric had known her long enough not to even bother pointing out young Morag's chivalrous nature. Though they were disembodied now, it was easy to picture the fiercely stubborn expression on her face. Helga was sweet-tempered and kind...but like a badger, she was fierce if you riled her in her den.
Luckily they didn't come across any terribly questionable students for a bit after Longbottom, giving Helga a chance to repair her injured pride. Salazar was humming slightly, though the sound eerily came across as a sort of hiss. He was still pleased about the Malfoy boy, whose cunning and ambition were so clear that Salazar had simply shouted, "MINE!" and the Hat bellowed its answer before any of the others could protest.
(Not that any of them really wanted to.)
The Hat was currently perched on curly blonde hair as young Teagan Nott earnestly awaited her Sorting. "Hmmm..." Godric mused, poking through her mind. "I like this one. She's fearless."
"A good mind, but no focus," Rowena dismissed.
Helga poked around next and made a generally approving noise. "Well...she could stand to apply herself a bit more, but she is still young, after all. Very commendable family loyalty. She'd do well in my House."
"But she'd do *better* in mine," Salazar put in firmly. "Look at that -- a budding artist, and she wants to be the very best in the wizarding world. She needs my House to nurture that ambition."
"She'll be a timid follower there! She needs a chance to try out her nerve or she'll never know it's there!"
"Your lions will tear her to shreds, and not do a THING to encourage her talents. She needs to be *guided*, not thrown in the river to see if she can swim!"
"She has ambition *and* bravery," Helga put in, ever the peacemaker. (Well, at least once her ruffled feathers were smoothed.) "But which will do *her* the best to encourage, Godric? I'll let Salazar have her."
"Ach, if you're going to gang up on me...Fine, take her."
There was a bit of good-natured bickering between Godric and Rowena over a pair of twin girls, resulting in each taking one of them, then Helga argued hotly with Godric until Salazar and Rowena both had to step in to place Sally-Anne Perks in Hufflepuff. If they'd still had bodies, Salazar would have sat up and crowed when the hat dropped on the next head.
"A *Parselmouth*! I haven't seen one in fifty years! This is wonderful! And here I thought it was going to be just another Sorting." Salazar was dancing a mental jig as he poked around young Harry's mind. "Oh, I like this Potter. I remember his father; he was a real little hellion." He cackled. "What an addition to Slytherin!"
"Weeeeeeeell..." Rowena dragged the word out consideringly. "He has a fine mind. Mmm, he could do well..."
"Rowena!"
"Oh relax, Salazar, I'm just teasing you. He's a far better Slytherin than Ravenclaw."
Helga laughed merrily. "He *does* have a commendable capacity for loyalty, but I agree. He'll do well with your serpents."
"Excellent." Salazar rubbed his figurative hands together.
"Just a moment please, Salazar," Godric interrupted quietly.
"Oh come off it, Godric, Rowena already tried that."
"I'm serious."
Salazar spluttered for several seconds before he could formulate any words. "Godric! You're not seriously protesting my claim on THIS one? He's a *Parselmouth*, for Merlin's sake! What use do you have for him in Gryffindor?"
"The same use I always have for someone so brave and daring! The boy is nothing but a giant nerve. He'll brave *anything*. Look at what he's gone through already! Face it, he belongs in my House."
"I will NOT face something so patently untrue! You're always trying to steal my best students. I won't HAVE it, I tell you!"
"YOU won't have it? Listen, Salazar, you have to accept--"
Suddenly, without any of them prompting it, they became aware of a thin voice chanting resolutely. \\Not Slytherin. Not Slytherin. Please, anything but Slytherin.//
Godric tried desperately to restrain himself, but wild laughter escaped nonetheless. "I think that answers that, old friend."
"But--he's a PARSELMOUTH!" Salazar wailed, even as the Hat called out, "GRYFFINDOR!" "Wait, wait, come back, try the thing on again properly. You couldn't possibly have meant--"
But the Hat was already coming to rest on another head, and the other three Founders were quietly snickering at him. "Don't you have anything to add to this one, Salazar?" Godric asked solicitously.
"Oh shut up."
"Really, Salazar, you're taking this awfully persona--"
"'Not Slytherin. *Anything* but Slytherin'," Salazar quoted in a high voice. "Honestly, what did I do to deserve THAT?"
"Do you want that alphabetically, categorically, or chronologically?"
"Be nice, Godric. He's sulking," Rowena advised.
"See if I ever side with YOU again!" Salazar snapped at her. "I am NOT sulking!"
"Good, does that mean I don't have to be nice?"
"FIVE minutes out of this bloody hat, Godric, with or without a wand, and I will make you regret every bloody--"
"BOYS!" Helga snapped. "There ARE children present."
"They can't hear us!" Godric and Salazar roared in chorus.
There was a moment's pause, then all four started laughing. It took a very long time to sort Hephanion Ranyon, and it wasn't because they couldn't agree on a House.
"Are we *done* with this group yet?" Salazar asked irritably a short while later.
Rowena snorted at him. "*Try* to have a little patience, Salazar. This is actually a small class. Remember back in the 1800s when we had that population boom? The Sorting took *hours*!"
"Given that Godric has been cleaning up this Sorting, I'm anxious to have it over and done with so I can start ignoring his gloating as usual."
"Gloat?" Godric protested in a highly offended tone. "*I* do not *gloat*, Salazar. Just because I happen to remind you on a semi-regular basis how fortunate my House has been in recent years does not mean that I'm *gloating*. Honestly. We should've enchanted a dictionary in this bloody Hat too."
"Oh *look*!" Helga exclaimed, trying to distract the others before their shouting could give her a headache. Well, a disembodied-mind-ache. "I can see that hair without eyes! It's another Weasley."
There followed groans, laughs, and a muttered, "How many of them *are* there, anyway?" Helga thought that sounded an awful lot like Rowena's voice.
"Let me guess," Salazar said sarcastically. "Gryffindor."
"So glad you agree, old friend. Since that's settled--"
"HOLD ON! I'm not giving up *another* Weasley without a fight, you--you--*nimrod*." Salazar pronounced that name with great relish. "You *always* take the Weasleys. Barely even give me a chance to *argue* anymore. Those twins would've been perfect in my House! Cunning, sneaky, and so ambitious. Planning a joke shop at age eleven!"
"Yes, but so *brave* as well. You can't have *all* the pranksters, Salazar. Nobility and a sense of humor are NOT mutually exclusive, whatever you may argue."
"You took the twins! You took the little boy who wanted to be Minister of Magic. Fine, I'll give you the dragon tamer -- *that* kind of stupidity can only come from a Gryffindor -- but you can't have them ALL! This one is *very* ambitious."
"His chief ambition right now is a new set of robes, Salazar."
"Look *beyond* that, you prat! He wants to outshine all his brothers. If that's not ambition, I don't know what is."
"If you'd look past your obsession with ambition for one bloody minute, you'd see he's just *reeking* with bravery as well."
"Yes, reeking is *exactly* how I'd describe your--"
"CALM yourselves!" Rowena barked. "For heaven's sake! You'd think you were children yourselves, not grown wizards more than a thousand years old. Honestly. We'll settle this calmly, as we always do."
"You weren't so calm when you were arguing over those Patil twins," Salazar muttered.
"*Ahem*. As I was saying..."
"All his brothers are in Gryffindor," Helga spoke up, having spent her time actually looking at Weasley's mind instead of arguing like the others. "The poor boy will be *crushed* if he's the first in his family sent elsewhere."
"Have a heart, Salazar," Godric said winningly.
"IF you'd pay attention to these children's thoughts all these years, you'd see that I'm completely evil," Salazar snapped. "I *don't* have a heart." He managed a very gusty sigh for someone who no longer possessed lungs. "Fine. But the *next* Weasley that comes along, *I'm* taking."
"Not if he's been trained by the same parents these have," Godric said smugly.
"GRYFFINDOR!"
"I think this is the last one," Helga said cheerfully as the Hat came to rest on the head of Zabini, Blaise.
"Already?"
"Salazar, weren't you just complaining that this was taking too *long*?" Rowena snorted.
"I think he was hoping for another pair of Weasley twins," Godric gloated. "Maybe next year."
"And he wonders why I ignore him."
"Oh, I don't wonder at all."
"If you still had a face, Godric, I'd come wipe that cheerful smirk right off of it."
Rowena snickered and looked into Blaise's head. "Hmm....*quite* intelligent...Hrmph. I think he's one of *yours*, Salazar. *No* desire for research or study."
"But very cunning," Salazar pronounced approvingly.
"Also quite loyal to his friends...and willing to work hard for his goals," Helga added.
"Helga..." Salazar's voice was pleading.
She laughed. "Oh, Salazar, you can sound *so* pathetic sometimes! All right, all right. You can have him."
"You were always my favorite, Helga!"
"HEY!" Rowena and Godric protested together.
"SLYTHERIN!"
"Don't try to sound insulted, Godric. Honestly, between the Parselmouth and the Weasley, I may not speak to you for the rest of the year!"
"Do you promise?"
The Hat was filled with laughter as McGonagall placed it back on the stool and removed it from the Great Hall. Another year, another Sorting.

Home alone.

I'll be home alone today. In the afternoon. My brother's off to that dont know what Camp, my mother and sister is going to Suntec. And my father is at work. My maid is overseas. Good isnt it? Except it would be sooooo boring, with only the computer to date. Sigh.

Severus bit back an eye-roll. A beautiful day could bring the worst of news, sometimes. It didn’t matter what the weather was.
"It's about the Dark Lord."
"Yes, I suspected it would be." Dumbledore said.
"He's got a weapon, Albus. A very powerful weapon, from what I'm told. He wouldn't tell us what is was, but only that it could, no would, be the downfall of yourself and Harry Potter, paving the way for his 'new future'."
"Oh, he does now? Now, what weapon could possibly mean the downfall of Harry Potter and myself?" He said, more to himself.
Much to Severus's surprise, Dumbledore now smiled. He was smiling? Had he finally lost it? The Dark Lord had a powerful weapon that could destroy him and the only hope for the wizarding world, and the old bat was smiling? Now Severus had seen everything.

Oldest, excluding Cheryl, I suppose Cheryl's my Jie too? C-Jie. Haha.

Jonathan is trying to get me to go badminton tmr. But I keep insisting S-Jie's more important. Well its true. Have to cheer her up, besides, she can get out of being grounded by looking for lessons, which is, in this case, a fact. Not lying. Haha. Brilliant. Going to meet her at PS for lunch then go and see the Yamaha Music School there. Yup. Maybe go and see whether got nice bag at 77th Street or something, since I got the vouchers.
Rainbow Connection OST is nice. I just downloaded a few songs. Wu Chu Cai Hong, Kan Tou, Yu Jian Ai Qing, Neng Ai Jiu Ai, and Qing Chun. All sung by the Project Superstar finalists, either one or another. Somewhat like that la. The songs are very nice! x) I approve. Haha.
Just simply reading the first chapter of Living Without Danger makes me wanna read the whole thing again. S-Jie says she feel like printing it out, haha. Wish I could post some stuff here. Its really nice. I read it and Living With Danger like, what, thrice already? Lol. Proves that its nice. Very very very nice.

Dance and Music.

Rainbow Connection was very nice last night! I love the performances. Even my sister was glued to the tv. Haha. Very nice.. Even the outfits they wore. Liked the yellow dress the team from China wore, it's beautiful. Pity, I can't dance like that. Sele can! Shes in ballet. Haha.
Flute-lessons hunting with Selena tmr. Meeting her for lunch then go and find. A lesson together, cos we cant have one in school. Smart huh. Lol.
I learned a lot of things last night while talking on the phone. Like, Cheryl's cute in a blurr way. Haha. The song I'm currently hearing is wierd. "Chinese food makes me sick"!? OKAY.. But its kinda nice, lol.

Party.

The party last night lasted till 2am this morning. And the last people to leave are parents with a bunch of little kids. All not my age. They were with my sister and my brother, so I was left alone. Good thing. It was dreadfully noisy in the evening. They were screaming around. It was more like my sister's birthday party than mine. I love the cake. Apparently, I made the right choice. It was so nice. And nice to eat too. Pistachio almond, and mocha almond fudge. Oh yes, Jie, Sele, and Cheryl, no cake for you le cos all eaten already. Hehe. Too nice. The best part of the party? Drenching my brother with water. My sister didnt want to drench me, (girls rule!), so we targeted my bro. Haha. And HE was the one with the watergun. I used a plastic wine glass, and my sister used her waterbottle. Haha.

Just realised that first day of school I dont have anyone to sit with. Tania is sitting with her friend. So, how pathetic can I get!? And no one I know is in Lit. And I can forget about appealing already. Sigh.

Later maybe going to buy Nano skin. The stick-on sticker kind. Yea. x) Jie's one is nice.
Oh yes. Bon voyage to Jie. She's going off to Europe tonight, to places which I never even heard off. Haha. At least she gets to go. Shes returning on the 16th. My birthday!

Despite her comments, Emma refuses to confirm whether she will be staying for the final two films in the series.
"An 11-month film is huge. You work adult hours. So I think I would never want to do it if I felt that I wasn't going to give it 100 percent," Watson explained. "So I'm not really thinking about the future. I just take it one film at a time, because otherwise I get a little bit overwhelmed."

She doesnt look like hor. But she older then me what. So.. Yeah. How did it happen? Well. I was smsing her that she treat her sister very well and I was joking that I wanna be her sister. And she was like 'I dont mind.' Then. Yeah. We were talking for long who was going to be the older one etc. At first is me, cos it looks like ma. Then it was kind of wierd for me, so I start calling her Jie. Haha. She wanted twins. -_______-

Ok, right now, people are downstairs trying to set the stuff up for the party. My birthday party, though its really really too early le. I'm gonna taste the drink later so can see how many portions then would taste nice. Most likely, I'll just pour one bottle of one, another bottle of another. Haha. I'm talking about Sprite and F&N Grape here. Its very nice when mixed together. Also have bottles of sparkling juice. Its packaged like wine. So cool right? Plus we bought those plastic wine glasses so can drink. But thats for later. Though I think that a large portion of the drink would finish even before the guests come.. Hehe.

Ok, new story le. Harry Potter this time. Selena's reading it too. This time she says its nice. Called Living with Danger. Very nice. It have sequels too. Living without Danger and Dealing with Danger. Dealing with Danger only until 11th chapter. Not yet finish. Sigh. Its still very nice! x) Haha.

Fun-filled day!

I have lots to blog about ok! Its so fun today.. Haha!
In the morning, I woke up early, about 8.30am, then went to meet Selena at Orchard MRT. I left the house at 9.15am, my mother fetched me to the Kovan MRT station. So, well. I forgot about three things this morning. The volleyball, the two bottles of sparkling juice, and the MRT station I was supposed to go to. I was a bit blurr this morning, haha. Ok, then, we took taxi to Great World, and saw CS, Terence and Johnathan already there. And the arcade was closed. Sad.. Then Sele and I walked around a bit and wanted to go up, back to the ticket booth that time saw Nicole, MS, and Nicholas. Went up with them and bought the tickets to watch.. Chicken Little!!

Fish is like so cute la! Even cuter than that three-eyed thingy. Its nice la, especially the songs. It was fun in the cinema too. Haha.
Ok, after watching then headed to Parkway in taxi. Me, Nicole, Sele and MS in one cab, and the guys in another. Went to Giant at Parkway to buy stuff for the bbq. Nicole and MS ended up sliding all over the place, lol. We still managed to buy the things, the reciept is with me. $74+ in total. Then Nicole, MS, Nicholas and CS sat taxi to ECP cos the stuff are with them. The rest of us walked. Halfway, Terence and Johnathan wanted to buy lollipop, so went Popular to buy. Terence ended up buying 9 lollipops and the three-eyed thing stuff toy. Got Fish but I didnt want to buy yet. Wanted to ask my mother to buy for me, haha. So, sucking on lollipops, we made our way to ECP, of cos on the way, Terence decided to act super childish and kicked all the dropped fruits on the floor at us. But Sele and I managed to dodge all, haha. Met the rest there and rented bikes. Nicole, MS, Sele and I stayed back while the guys went to cycle. We marinated the chicken. Haha. Then Cheryl came. Then we cycled. Nicole and I cycled fast to catch up with the guys, but when we saw them, they were turning back already. Cheryl left halfway to be with her cousins. So.. went back to the bbq pit. Then we bought water guns to play. Haha. Super wet la. But not as wet as later.. Hehe. Ok, so.. we just stayed there for a while. Then Cheryl joined us when her cousins went home. Decided to blade so Nicole, I, Sele and MS went to rent blades. But not even blading for an hour, we went to the beach. They wanted to go INTO the water. CS had already been pushed into the water la, so he was already wet. Selena was next to get pushed in, cos she had extra clothes. Then was Nicholas, he went in of his own accord. Then MS, we practically dragged her to the water, haha! Cheryl next, even though she dont have any clothes at all, lol! Then Terence, Nicole and I was left. We were like, allies, allies to each other. Funny! In the end Nicole was dragged in, and I was left, but yeah, I was pushed in too. But I lasted the longest! Haha. Super duper wet in the water.. CS went to buy ball and we played monkey in the water. We helped MS do acrobatics in the water. She stood on our hands while Nicole supported her back. Lol! We succeeded you know. It was soooo fun. Then we played volleyball on the beach, the line kept getting washed off. Haha. WF came and we continued playing till like 7pm+ and we returned the blades and couldn't find the reciept. Managed to get back our cards without reciept, and then me, Sele, MS and Cheryl went to Macs to eat. Then.. at 8pm went home.

Haha! Its a pretty interesting show. My siblings and I were so engrossed in the show that we didn't even notice when my father opened the door until he went 'boo'. My brother jumped high. Lol!
The Myth, the one with Jackie Chan, is nice too! But its kinda hard to understand at first. I mean, what has anti-gravity got to do with archaeology!? You'll only understand towards the end, where it seems that the people of Qing Dynasty who ate the Longevity Pill had built a home in a cave behind the waterfall and there, everyone floats. Anti-gravity, haha. Its quite cool actually. I like the song. Endless Love by Jackie Chan and Kim Hee Sun. The two main actors of the show. Yesterday was ZKai's birthday party, Ju Siang was convinced that all his friends were the same friends as last year's. Cos they all looked the same, haha. So many they are. Tiff wasnt there, shes in JB doing some church thing, coming back today. My parents were discussing about going overseas, talking about going to Taiwan. Yay. Plus its cold there, whooohoo. Can tag along with my dad when he goes there for business trips, which is like, every two weeks. Haha, its possible. Just need to make the neccessary arrangements and all. Oh yes, I borrowed two dvds from ZKai, so now got show to watch le, if I'm bored. The Brothers Grimm and The Myth. I watched Transporter 2 at his house yesterday when that cousin of mine was playing Mahjong with his friends. The sound could travel all the way up you know. And upstairs had his friends playing the Magic cards. So, basically, the whole house, whatever level you are, can hear them.
I need a new puzzle. I have nothing to do, thinking about buying the Metarmorphesis of Mickey Mouse that one, very cool, especially the strawberry and the jeans one. Haha.
Oh yeah, I went to the Swiss Dream Circus yesterday. It was cool. Watching them just flip around and everything. So flexible. I liked the song when the Mongolians was doing their act. Haha, then of course, the clown, haha! The jet plane part was the funniest. Lol. It was kinda a small circus, just opposite Bugis there. A small circus for family entertainment, not those big commercial ones, my dad says.

The most frustrating thing is that if he doesn't use the computer he have his playstation and then what about me?? Nothing at all. Exactly. So I need the computer to use. I didn't blog for two days le, cos I got nothing to blog about, and the new show I bought just took me away from the computer. Mhm. Its called E Mo Zai Shen Bian or Devil Beside You. Its very nice. About this girl who wants to give a qing shu to her crush, but somehow, the 'devil' of the school got it and this starts a whirlwind of events that eventually leads to her liking the 'devil', Meng, instead of her crush, JianYi. Its nice la.
Anyway, today I went swimming at Tiff's house. Yes, again. I havent laughed so hard for so long already. Tiff got a new float thing. The one that you can just lie down and relax and float on the water, but she, my bro and I made it seem like a piece of ice that would slip you right off when you want to sit on it. Haha!! So fun today. x) Better then the boring days. Ok, and I bought the 5566 concert tickets today for Pau and I already. Yay. Finally. Its the 128 ones. Heard that Tiff got the MayDay concert tickets. Haha, we were argueing whether 5566 or MayDay better at the playground today.
Good news: I'm going to Malaysia for holiday. Yay. Cant wait to go to the theme park in KL!! Haha. I'll be going with Tiff. As always, cept last time it was with ZKai. Still, its fun fun fun!! Lol.
